About the Event
Sat 11 Feb - Sat 12 Feb  |  9am - 4pm    Topics covered:   - Practical- hands-on introduction to power tools our carpenters and builders will show you how to use power tools and hand tools safely with a practical and hands on project that will get you using many of the tools you will need to build your own house, mixed with a bit of theory,     - Building Theory -  Introduction to tiny houses Tiny house building fundamentals Tiny house trailers Framing options, roof styles, windows and doors.  Insulation, cladding, lining, and cabinetry. Plumbing and electrical basics   - General - Renting/leasing land Transporting tiny houses Insurance Financing   Catering provided. Drinks and snacks for morning and afternoon tea. Lunch provided.
Sat 18 Feb - Sun 19 Feb  |  9am - 4pm    During this weekend you will be in a collaborative learning environment  where you will have a chance to design your own tiny house and get  feedback from our team as you are doing it.    There will be lots of information available to get you started (as  covered below), lots a range of floorplans and 3D models to get you  inspired.    Topics covered:   - Design - Samples of 2D floorplans and 3D models Introduction to tiny house design Choosing colour schemes Introduction to 3D modelling (optional) Using tiny spaces effectively   - Project Management - Cover some tools and apps available to help plan a build project Using Gantt charts Working with suppliers and lead times   Catering provided. Drinks and snacks for morning and afternoon tea. Lunch provided.
(we will not be building a tiny house in this workshop).
